Advertise on Scent Hub

Scent Hub is a free fragrance guide that ranks fragrances by their notes, how far they project and how long they last, not by reviews or marketing. If you make or sell fragrance, you can pay to have one of yours shown as a clearly labelled Sponsored card, on the home page every visitor sees first and next to the guides where it genuinely belongs.

What you get

• Fragrance of the week: a labelled Sponsored card at the top of the home page, with the fragrance's notes and a link to your site. Up to 4 brands at a time, kept apart from the week's own picks.
• Guide picks: a labelled Sponsored card on the guides (best fragrances for summer, for a date, for the gym and so on) where your fragrance ranks in the top 60 of the 3,837 fragrances ranked.
• A link to your own site, marked rel="sponsored" as search engines ask paid links to be.
• A place among the suggestions in the collection rater, for people whose collection has a gap your fragrance fills, again labelled.

What you do not get

This is what makes the placement worth anything to the people reading it, so it is not negotiable.

• No change to any ranking or score. The list above a sponsored card is computed from the fragrances' notes and is identical with or without it.
• No placement where it does not fit. If your fragrance is not in the top 60 for a guide, it cannot be shown there, and to be featured on the home page it has to be in the top 60 of at least one guide, whatever you pay. We tell you where it qualifies before you pay.
• No say over the week's own picks. The home page's picks are chosen from the season's strongest fragrances, one per house, by a weekly rotation. A sponsored card cannot add to them, remove from them or change their order.
• No say over the page. We do not change a fragrance's notes, description, scores or reviews at a brand's request, and no more than 2 sponsored picks appear on any guide.
• No invented notes. If your fragrance is not listed yet we can add it, from the official note list you publish.

What it costs

Billed monthly in USD, for up to 3 guides per fragrance. A placement runs for the dates agreed and then stops; it does not renew by itself.

About the audience

This is a new site, and we do not quote visitor numbers we cannot back up. Ask us for the current figures from Google Search Console before you buy, and if it is not worth it to you yet, come back when it is.

How it works

   Email us the fragrance and whether you want the home page, guide picks or both, and the guides if you have a view.

   We check where it qualifies and tell you before you pay anything.

   We invoice for the dates agreed.

   It goes live at the next site update, usually within a day, labelled Sponsored.
