Terms of Use

These terms are a contract between you and Scent Hub. Using the app means you accept them. They are written to be read.
Who can use Scent Hub
You must be at least 13. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission.
One account per person. Do not share it, and do not create an account for someone else or pretend to be them.
What you post
You keep ownership of everything you post — your photos, reviews and wear logs stay yours. You give us permission to store, display and distribute them inside Scent Hub, so the app can show them to other people. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already in backups, which age out.
You are responsible for what you post, and by posting it you confirm it is yours to post. Do not upload anything you did not make or do not have the rights to.
Not allowed: anything illegal; harassment, threats or hate; sexual content; spam or advertising; impersonating anyone; other people's photos without permission; scraping or bulk-downloading the app; trying to break, overload or reverse-engineer it.
We can remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules. For anything borderline we will usually ask first. For anything clearly harmful we will not.
Reporting
Report any post or person from inside the app. A person reads reports. If you believe something infringes your copyright, email the address below with a link to it, proof of ownership and your contact details, and we will remove it if the claim holds up.
What Scent Hub is not
Fragrance information is a guide, not gospel. Notes, longevity and projection are compiled by hand from widely published descriptions. They are frequently approximations, occasionally wrong, and always subjective. Do not rely on them for anything that matters.
The stylist is a language model. Its suggestions are generated, not expert advice. It will sometimes be confidently wrong.
We do not sell fragrance and we do not verify sellers. Where the app links to a shop, that is a separate company with its own terms. Anything you buy is between you and them.
Nothing here is health advice. Fragrance can cause allergic reactions. If you react to something, see a doctor, not an app.
Brands
Every brand, product and trademark named in Scent Hub belongs to its owner. They are used to describe real products factually. Scent Hub is not affiliated with or endorsed by any brand it lists, and no brand can pay to change a ranking, a score or a description. A brand can pay for a clearly labelled sponsored placement, which is the only paid exception, described under Sponsored placements below.
If you own a trademark and object to how it is used here, email us and we will discuss it.
Sponsored placements
A brand can pay to have one of its fragrances shown in a block labelled Sponsored: on the home page, for a fragrance that genuinely ranks in the top 60 of at least one guide; on a guide where that fragrance genuinely ranks in the top 60; and among the suggestions in the collection rater. A sponsored placement is always labelled, always kept apart from the ranking or the weekly picks it sits beside, and never changes any score or the order of any list. Its link to the brand's own site is marked as a paid link. Nothing is sponsored unless it is labelled as such.
Affiliate links
Some links to shops can earn us a commission if you buy. It costs you nothing extra and it never affects what the app recommends — rankings are computed from note data and your answers, never from what pays. Links that earn are labelled.
Premium
Premium is not on sale yet. When it is, prices, billing period and renewal will be shown before you pay, and subscriptions renew until cancelled. Cancel through whichever store you subscribed with; access runs to the end of the period you paid for. Refunds are handled by that store, not by us.
Ending it
You can delete your account at any time, in the app, under About. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will say why unless doing so would make things worse.
The boring but important part
Scent Hub is provided as is. We do not promise it will always work, always be available, or always be right. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for anything arising from fragrance information being wrong, a purchase from a linked shop, or content another user posted.
Nothing here removes rights you have by law that cannot be removed — consumer protection law where you live still applies.
Changes
We will announce material changes in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Scent Hub afterwards means accepting the new version.
