Fars by Xerjoff is an unisex parfum in the luxury price tier. It opens with tar, lavender and bergamot, moves into atlas cedar, geranium and jasmine and dries down to amber, haitian vetiver, patchouli and sandalwood. Expect around 10 hours of wear, and it projects strongly.

Opening
- Tar Black, rubbery and industrial. Uncompromising.
- Lavender Herbal, clean, slightly medicinal. Barbershop in one note.
- Bergamot Sharp citrus with a faint bitter edge. The opening of about half of all men's fragrances.
Heart
- Atlas Cedar Smoother, resinous cedar. Warmer than the Virginia type.
- Geranium Rosy and minty at once. Reads masculine more often than not.
- Jasmine Heady, sweet and slightly animal underneath. Rarely subtle.
Dry-down
- Amber Warm, golden and resinous. Not a real material — a blend that glows.
- Haitian Vetiver Cleaner, smokier vetiver with a grapefruit lift. Less earthy than Javan.
- Patchouli Damp earth and dark chocolate. Either you love it or it's your least favourite note.
- Sandalwood Creamy, milky wood. Soft and almost edible.
