Lillipur
Lillipur by Tiziana Terenzi is an unisex extrait de parfum in the niche price tier. It opens with artemisia, lemon, frankincense and star anise, moves into galbanum, cinnamon, carnation, thyme, cyclamen and sichuan pepper and dries down to cedarwood, musk, cashmere wood, patchouli, benzoin and tonka bean. Expect around 10 hours of wear, and it projects strongly.
Notes, explained
Opening
- Artemisia Bitter and silvery-herbal. Wormwood, the backbone of a fougère.
- Lemon Clean, sour, instantly recognisable. Bright but burns off fast.
- Frankincense Bright, peppery, church-like resin. Lifts and cools a fragrance.
- Star Anise Liquorice-like and cool. Sweet but not sugary.
Heart
- Galbanum Intensely green resin. Smells like snapping a plant stem in half.
- Cinnamon Sweet heat. Reads festive, sometimes to a fault.
- Carnation Spicy, clove-like floral. Old-school and a bit peppery.
- Thyme Dry, sharp kitchen herb. Bracing and slightly antiseptic.
- Cyclamen Watery, green and airy. Used to make florals feel light.
- Sichuan Pepper Buzzy, citrus-tinged pepper. Tingles rather than burns.
Dry-down
- Cedarwood Dry, pencil-shaving woodiness. Clean and structural.
- Musk Warm, skin-like and slightly sweet. Makes a fragrance feel like you.
- Cashmere Wood Soft, fuzzy, slightly musky wood. Adds a blurred warmth.
- Patchouli Damp earth and dark chocolate. Either you love it or it's your least favourite note.
- Benzoin Sweet balsamic resin. Vanilla-adjacent but drier.
- Tonka Bean Almond, hay and vanilla in one. Warm and slightly nutty.
