Cinque Terre
Cinque Terre by Mancera is an unisex eau de parfum in the niche price tier. It opens with rosemary and lemon, moves into cedarwood, pine, fig, sea salt and amber and dries down to oakmoss, tonka bean, sandalwood and labdanum. Expect around 10 hours of wear, and it projects strongly.
Notes, explained
Opening
- Rosemary Sharp, camphorous herb. Bracing and clean, borders on medicinal.
- Lemon Clean, sour, instantly recognisable. Bright but burns off fast.
Heart
- Cedarwood Dry, pencil-shaving woodiness. Clean and structural.
- Pine Sappy and bracing. Straightforwardly outdoorsy.
- Fig Green, milky and jammy at once. One of the most interesting fruits in perfume.
- Sea Salt Mineral and dry. Skin after a day at the beach.
- Amber Warm, golden and resinous. Not a real material — a blend that glows.
Dry-down
- Oakmoss Damp forest floor. Bitter, green and the backbone of every chypre.
- Tonka Bean Almond, hay and vanilla in one. Warm and slightly nutty.
- Sandalwood Creamy, milky wood. Soft and almost edible.
- Labdanum Sticky, leathery resin. Dark honey and old books.
