Aoud Lemon Mint
Aoud Lemon Mint by Mancera is an unisex eau de parfum in the niche price tier. It opens with lemon, coriander, black pepper and almond, moves into oud, jasmine, patchouli and mint and dries down to leather, amber, vanilla, haitian vetiver and white musk. Expect around 10 hours of wear, and it projects strongly.
Notes, explained
Opening
- Lemon Clean, sour, instantly recognisable. Bright but burns off fast.
- Coriander Warm seed spice, slightly citrusy. A quiet workhorse.
- Black Pepper Dry and prickly. Gives a fragrance grip and a bit of bite.
- Almond Marzipan and cherry-stone. Sweet with a bitter undertone.
Heart
- Oud Resinous, medicinal, barnyard-adjacent wood. The most expensive note in perfumery.
- Jasmine Heady, sweet and slightly animal underneath. Rarely subtle.
- Patchouli Damp earth and dark chocolate. Either you love it or it's your least favourite note.
- Mint Cold and tingly. Great in small doses, toothpaste in large ones.
Dry-down
- Leather Smoky, dry and a bit animal. Can be a new jacket or an old saddle.
- Amber Warm, golden and resinous. Not a real material — a blend that glows.
- Vanilla Sweet, creamy and warm. The most comforting note in perfumery.
- Haitian Vetiver Cleaner, smokier vetiver with a grapefruit lift. Less earthy than Javan.
- White Musk Clean, soft, laundry-like. The 'smells like nothing but better' note.
