Cinnamon Sweet heat. Reads festive, sometimes to a fault.
Anise Sweet, liquorice-like seed. Cool and slightly medicinal.
Marigold Bitter, green and herbal. Nothing like the flower looks.

Heart

Blackcurrant Tart, dark and slightly catty. Adds bite to florals.
Jasmine Heady, sweet and slightly animal underneath. Rarely subtle.
Rose Can be jammy, green, peppery or soapy depending on the type. Not one smell.
Immortelle Maple syrup, curry and hay. Genuinely strange and very distinctive.
Chamomile Herbal, apple-like and calming. Quiet and a bit hay-ish.

Dry-down

Styrax Smoky, leathery balsam. Slightly rubbery and dark.
Myrrh Bitter, smoky resin. Ancient-smelling and slightly cool.
Tonka Bean Almond, hay and vanilla in one. Warm and slightly nutty.
Vanilla Sweet, creamy and warm. The most comforting note in perfumery.
