Ouranon by Aesop is an unisex eau de parfum in the premium price tier. It opens with petitgrain, elemi and lavender, moves into hay, chamomile and frankincense and dries down to myrrh, tonka bean and patchouli. Expect around 6 hours of wear, and it projects softly.
Notes, explained
Opening
- Petitgrain Bitter twigs and leaves of the orange tree. Dry and a little green.
- Elemi Peppery resin with a lemon-pine lift. Bright and dry.
- Lavender Herbal, clean, slightly medicinal. Barbershop in one note.
Heart
- Hay Sun-dried grass and tonka. Warm, rustic and comforting.
- Chamomile Herbal, apple-like and calming. Quiet and a bit hay-ish.
- Frankincense Bright, peppery, church-like resin. Lifts and cools a fragrance.
Dry-down
- Myrrh Bitter, smoky resin. Ancient-smelling and slightly cool.
- Tonka Bean Almond, hay and vanilla in one. Warm and slightly nutty.
- Patchouli Damp earth and dark chocolate. Either you love it or it's your least favourite note.
