Adventure by Davidoff is a masculine-leaning eau de toilette from 2008 in the designer price tier. It opens with mandarin, black pepper, lemon, bergamot and mate, moves into pimento and dries down to vetiver, cedarwood and white musk. Opening
- Mandarin Soft, sweet, almost powdery citrus. Gentler than orange.
- Black Pepper Dry and prickly. Gives a fragrance grip and a bit of bite.
- Lemon Clean, sour, instantly recognisable. Bright but burns off fast.
- Bergamot Sharp citrus with a faint bitter edge. The opening of about half of all men's fragrances.
- Mate Dry, smoky, bitter green tea. Toasted rather than fresh.

- Pimento Allspice — clove, cinnamon and nutmeg at once. Hot and rounded.

- Vetiver Dry, earthy, smoky grass root. Smells like soil and citrus peel.
- Cedarwood Dry, pencil-shaving woodiness. Clean and structural.
- White Musk Clean, soft, laundry-like. The 'smells like nothing but better' note.
