It opens with pear, frankincense, hazelnut, pink pepper and bitter almond, moves into saffron, rose, sambac jasmine and osmanthus and dries down to labdanum, sandalwood, ambergris, vanilla, ambrette seed and cypriol. Expect around 12 hours of wear, and it projects strongly.

Opening

Pear Crisp, watery and green-sweet. Clean and modern.
Frankincense Bright, peppery, church-like resin. Lifts and cools a fragrance.
Hazelnut Roasted, buttery and nutty. Warm and dessert-like.
Pink Pepper Fizzy, rosy and bright. Adds sparkle without heat.
Bitter Almond Marzipan with a sharp, cherry-stone edge. Sweet but slightly medicinal.

Heart

Saffron Leathery, medicinal and slightly metallic. The signature of modern niche.
Rose Can be jammy, green, peppery or soapy depending on the type. Not one smell.
Sambac Jasmine Greener, more tea-like jasmine. Less indolic than grandiflorum.
Osmanthus Apricot-and-leather floral. Unusual, warm and very wearable.

Dry-down

Labdanum Sticky, leathery resin. Dark honey and old books.
Sandalwood Creamy, milky wood. Soft and almost edible.
Ambergris Salty, animal, sun-warmed skin. Marine and musky at once.
Vanilla Sweet, creamy and warm. The most comforting note in perfumery.
Ambrette Seed The only natural musk. Pear-like, warm and slightly boozy.
Cypriol Also called nagarmotha. Smoky, leathery, earthy — a vetiver relative.
