Guidance by Amouage is an unisex eau de parfum from 2023 in the luxury price tier. It opens with pear, hazelnut and frankincense, moves into rose, osmanthus and sambac jasmine and dries down to sandalwood, vanilla and amber. Expect around 12 hours of wear, and it projects strongly.

Opening
- Pear Crisp, watery and green-sweet. Clean and modern.
- Hazelnut Roasted, buttery and nutty. Warm and dessert-like.
- Frankincense Bright, peppery, church-like resin. Lifts and cools a fragrance.
Heart
- Rose Can be jammy, green, peppery or soapy depending on the type. Not one smell.
- Osmanthus Apricot-and-leather floral. Unusual, warm and very wearable.
- Sambac Jasmine Greener, more tea-like jasmine. Less indolic than grandiflorum.
Dry-down
- Sandalwood Creamy, milky wood. Soft and almost edible.
- Vanilla Sweet, creamy and warm. The most comforting note in perfumery.
- Amber Warm, golden and resinous. Not a real material — a blend that glows.
