Zefiro by Xerjoff is an unisex eau de parfum in the luxury price tier. It opens with elemi, davana and bergamot, moves into iris, cinnamon, carnation and cardamom and dries down to incense, honey, amber and oud. Expect around 10 hours of wear, and it projects strongly.

Opening

Elemi Peppery resin with a lemon-pine lift. Bright and dry.
Davana Odd and gorgeous — apricot jam, rum and dried herbs at once.
Bergamot Sharp citrus with a faint bitter edge. The opening of about half of all men's fragrances.

Heart

Iris Cool, powdery, slightly carroty and expensive. The luxury note.
Cinnamon Sweet heat. Reads festive, sometimes to a fault.
Carnation Spicy, clove-like floral. Old-school and a bit peppery.
Cardamom Cool, aromatic spice with a eucalyptus lift. Smells expensive.

Dry-down

Incense Smoky, dry and meditative. Adds gravity to anything.
Honey Sweet, waxy and slightly animalic. Can smell dirty in large doses.
Amber Warm, golden and resinous. Not a real material — a blend that glows.
Oud Resinous, medicinal, barnyard-adjacent wood. The most expensive note in perfumery.
