Juniper Berry Gin, basically. Piney, dry and bracing.
Cypress Cool, green, resinous conifer. Sharp and clean.
Olive Wood Pale, smooth Mediterranean wood. Dry, a little milky, faintly sweet.

Heart

Patchouli Damp earth and dark chocolate. Either you love it or it's your least favourite note.
Incense Smoky, dry and meditative. Adds gravity to anything.
Iris Cool, powdery, slightly carroty and expensive. The luxury note.
Myrrh Bitter, smoky resin. Ancient-smelling and slightly cool.
Leather Smoky, dry and a bit animal. Can be a new jacket or an old saddle.

Dry-down

Honey Sweet, waxy and slightly animalic. Can smell dirty in large doses.
Musk Warm, skin-like and slightly sweet. Makes a fragrance feel like you.
Amber Warm, golden and resinous. Not a real material — a blend that glows.
Sandalwood Creamy, milky wood. Soft and almost edible.
Oud Resinous, medicinal, barnyard-adjacent wood. The most expensive note in perfumery.
