Fiero
Fiero by Xerjoff is an unisex eau de parfum in the luxury price tier. It opens with lemon, lemongrass, bergamot and blood orange, moves into mint and neroli and dries down to coumarin, mysore sandalwood, patchouli and vetiver. Expect around 10 hours of wear, and it projects strongly.
Notes, explained
Opening
- Lemon Clean, sour, instantly recognisable. Bright but burns off fast.
- Lemongrass Sharp, grassy lemon. Bright and clean, with a herbal edge.
- Bergamot Sharp citrus with a faint bitter edge. The opening of about half of all men's fragrances.
- Blood Orange Orange with a red-fruit edge. Richer and slightly jammy.
Heart
- Mint Cold and tingly. Great in small doses, toothpaste in large ones.
- Neroli Distilled orange blossom. Green, soapy and elegant.
Dry-down
- Coumarin Hay, almond and vanilla in one molecule. The heart of every fougère.
- Mysore Sandalwood The legendary Indian sandalwood. Richer and butterier than any substitute.
- Patchouli Damp earth and dark chocolate. Either you love it or it's your least favourite note.
- Vetiver Dry, earthy, smoky grass root. Smells like soil and citrus peel.
