Vele by Tiziana Terenzi is an unisex extrait de parfum in the niche price tier. It opens with fig, green leaves, mango, passionfruit and red berries, moves into heliotrope, jasmine, ylang-ylang, hyacinth and rose and dries down to pimento, papaya, amber, musk and vanilla. Expect around 10 hours of wear, and it projects strongly.

Opening

Fig Green, milky and jammy at once. One of the most interesting fruits in perfume.
Green Leaves Crushed stems and fresh leaves. Snappy, sharp and outdoorsy.
Mango Thick, sweet and tropical. Creamy rather than sharp.
Passionfruit Sharp, tropical and slightly sulphurous. Vivid and modern.
Red Berries Generic jammy berry blend. Bright, sweet and crowd-pleasing.

Heart

Heliotrope Almond, vanilla and powder. Smells like marzipan and old-fashioned makeup.
Jasmine Heady, sweet and slightly animal underneath. Rarely subtle.
Ylang-Ylang Banana-custard floral. Rich, tropical and slightly rubbery.
Hyacinth Cold, green, watery floral. Smells like early spring.
Rose Can be jammy, green, peppery or soapy depending on the type. Not one smell.

Dry-down

Pimento Allspice — clove, cinnamon and nutmeg at once. Hot and rounded.
Papaya Soft tropical flesh, musky and a little sulphurous.
Amber Warm, golden and resinous. Not a real material — a blend that glows.
Musk Warm, skin-like and slightly sweet. Makes a fragrance feel like you.
Vanilla Sweet, creamy and warm. The most comforting note in perfumery.
