Manhattan by Roja Parfums is an unisex parfum in the luxury price tier. It opens with bergamot, lavender and basil, moves into rose de mai, jasmine, heliotrope, violet and coconut and dries down to ginger, pink pepper, cinnamon, clove, patchouli and oakmoss. Expect around 10 hours of wear, and it projects strongly.

Opening
- Bergamot Sharp citrus with a faint bitter edge. The opening of about half of all men's fragrances.
- Lavender Herbal, clean, slightly medicinal. Barbershop in one note.
- Basil Peppery herb with an aniseed lift. Culinary but wearable.
Heart
- Rose de Mai Softer, honeyed May rose. Expensive and unmistakably natural.
- Jasmine Heady, sweet and slightly animal underneath. Rarely subtle.
- Heliotrope Almond, vanilla and powder. Smells like marzipan and old-fashioned makeup.
- Violet Powdery, sweet and a bit retro. Parma Violets in flower form.
- Coconut Creamy and tropical. Suncream in the best possible way.
Dry-down
- Ginger Warm, zesty and slightly soapy. Bridges citrus and spice.
- Pink Pepper Fizzy, rosy and bright. Adds sparkle without heat.
- Cinnamon Sweet heat. Reads festive, sometimes to a fault.
- Clove Hot, dry and dental. Powerful — a little goes a long way.
- Patchouli Damp earth and dark chocolate. Either you love it or it's your least favourite note.
- Oakmoss Damp forest floor. Bitter, green and the backbone of every chypre.
