Opening

Elemi Peppery resin with a lemon-pine lift. Bright and dry.
Ginger Warm, zesty and slightly soapy. Bridges citrus and spice.
Star Anise Liquorice-like and cool. Sweet but not sugary.
Incense Smoky, dry and meditative. Adds gravity to anything.
Angelica Musky, herbal root. Earthy and a bit strange.

Heart

Maple Dark, syrupy and slightly smoky. Rich and unusual.
Cinnamon Sweet heat. Reads festive, sometimes to a fault.
Lily A big, creamy, slightly spicy white flower. The kind that fills a room.
Cabreuva A soft Brazilian wood oil. Gently floral, like fresh-planed timber.

Dry-down

Leather Smoky, dry and a bit animal. Can be a new jacket or an old saddle.
Styrax Smoky, leathery balsam. Slightly rubbery and dark.
Labdanum Sticky, leathery resin. Dark honey and old books.
Oakmoss Damp forest floor. Bitter, green and the backbone of every chypre.
Patchouli Damp earth and dark chocolate. Either you love it or it's your least favourite note.
Tonka Bean Almond, hay and vanilla in one. Warm and slightly nutty.
