Tero
Tero by Nishane is an unisex extrait de parfum in the niche price tier. It opens with salted caramel, black pepper and sichuan pepper, moves into patchouli and cinnamon and dries down to haitian vetiver, amber and oakwood. Expect around 10 hours of wear, and it projects strongly.
Notes, explained
Opening
- Salted Caramel Caramel with a mineral edge. Less cloying than it sounds.
- Black Pepper Dry and prickly. Gives a fragrance grip and a bit of bite.
- Sichuan Pepper Buzzy, citrus-tinged pepper. Tingles rather than burns.
Heart
- Patchouli Damp earth and dark chocolate. Either you love it or it's your least favourite note.
- Cinnamon Sweet heat. Reads festive, sometimes to a fault.
Dry-down
- Haitian Vetiver Cleaner, smokier vetiver with a grapefruit lift. Less earthy than Javan.
- Amber Warm, golden and resinous. Not a real material — a blend that glows.
- Oakwood Dry, toasty barrel wood. Closer to a whisky cask than a forest.
