Deziro by Nishane is an unisex extrait de parfum in the niche price tier. It opens with mandarin, ambergris and marine accord, moves into star anise, carrot seed, mint, cypriol and geranium and dries down to musk, sandalwood and haitian vetiver. Opening
- Mandarin Soft, sweet, almost powdery citrus. Gentler than orange.
- Ambergris Salty, animal, sun-warmed skin. Marine and musky at once.
- Marine Accord Generic 'ocean' — salt, air and water. Clean and uncomplicated.
Heart
- Star Anise Liquorice-like and cool. Sweet but not sugary.
- Carrot Seed Earthy, rooty and oddly powdery. Often used to echo iris.
- Mint Cold and tingly. Great in small doses, toothpaste in large ones.
- Cypriol Also called nagarmotha. Smoky, leathery, earthy — a vetiver relative.
- Geranium Rosy and minty at once. Reads masculine more often than not.
Dry-down
- Musk Warm, skin-like and slightly sweet. Makes a fragrance feel like you.
- Sandalwood Creamy, milky wood. Soft and almost edible.
- Haitian Vetiver Cleaner, smokier vetiver with a grapefruit lift. Less earthy than Javan.
