Oriental Leather
Oriental Leather by Memo Paris is an unisex eau de parfum in the niche price tier. It opens with pimento, lemon verbena and raspberry, moves into cinnamon, lavender and geranium and dries down to patchouli, frankincense and leather. Expect around 9 hours of wear, and it projects at a moderate level.
Notes, explained
Opening
- Pimento Allspice — clove, cinnamon and nutmeg at once. Hot and rounded.
- Lemon Verbena Lemon crossed with crushed herbs. Smells like expensive soap.
- Raspberry Tart, jammy and slightly fuzzy. Very popular in modern sweet scents.
Heart
- Cinnamon Sweet heat. Reads festive, sometimes to a fault.
- Lavender Herbal, clean, slightly medicinal. Barbershop in one note.
- Geranium Rosy and minty at once. Reads masculine more often than not.
Dry-down
- Patchouli Damp earth and dark chocolate. Either you love it or it's your least favourite note.
- Frankincense Bright, peppery, church-like resin. Lifts and cools a fragrance.
- Leather Smoky, dry and a bit animal. Can be a new jacket or an old saddle.
