Art of Wood
Art of Wood by Lattafa is an unisex eau de parfum in the budget price tier. It opens with bergamot, pink pepper and grapefruit, moves into rose, patchouli and cedarwood and dries down to vetiver, oakmoss and vanilla. Expect around 8 hours of wear, and it projects strongly.
Notes, explained
Opening
- Bergamot Sharp citrus with a faint bitter edge. The opening of about half of all men's fragrances.
- Pink Pepper Fizzy, rosy and bright. Adds sparkle without heat.
- Grapefruit Bitter, slightly sweaty citrus. More grown-up than lemon.
Heart
- Rose Can be jammy, green, peppery or soapy depending on the type. Not one smell.
- Patchouli Damp earth and dark chocolate. Either you love it or it's your least favourite note.
- Cedarwood Dry, pencil-shaving woodiness. Clean and structural.
Dry-down
- Vetiver Dry, earthy, smoky grass root. Smells like soil and citrus peel.
- Oakmoss Damp forest floor. Bitter, green and the backbone of every chypre.
- Vanilla Sweet, creamy and warm. The most comforting note in perfumery.
