Imperium
Imperium by Electimuss is an unisex extrait de parfum in the luxury price tier. It opens with bergamot and coriander, moves into rose, lily, saffron, jasmine, neroli and tuberose and dries down to amber, musk, vanilla, guaiac wood, oud and patchouli. Expect around 10 hours of wear, and it projects strongly.
Notes, explained
Opening
- Bergamot Sharp citrus with a faint bitter edge. The opening of about half of all men's fragrances.
- Coriander Warm seed spice, slightly citrusy. A quiet workhorse.
Heart
- Rose Can be jammy, green, peppery or soapy depending on the type. Not one smell.
- Lily A big, creamy, slightly spicy white flower. The kind that fills a room.
- Saffron Leathery, medicinal and slightly metallic. The signature of modern niche.
- Jasmine Heady, sweet and slightly animal underneath. Rarely subtle.
- Neroli Distilled orange blossom. Green, soapy and elegant.
- Tuberose Creamy, waxy and enormous. The loudest white flower.
Dry-down
- Amber Warm, golden and resinous. Not a real material — a blend that glows.
- Musk Warm, skin-like and slightly sweet. Makes a fragrance feel like you.
- Vanilla Sweet, creamy and warm. The most comforting note in perfumery.
- Guaiac Wood Smoky, tarry and slightly sweet. Like a bonfire and roses.
- Oud Resinous, medicinal, barnyard-adjacent wood. The most expensive note in perfumery.
- Patchouli Damp earth and dark chocolate. Either you love it or it's your least favourite note.
