Wanted
Wanted by Azzaro is a masculine-leaning eau de toilette from 2016 in the designer price tier. It opens with lemon, ginger and cardamom, moves into juniper berry, lavender and mint and dries down to tonka bean, vetiver and amber. Expect around 7 hours of wear, and it projects at a moderate level.
Notes, explained
Opening
- Lemon Clean, sour, instantly recognisable. Bright but burns off fast.
- Ginger Warm, zesty and slightly soapy. Bridges citrus and spice.
- Cardamom Cool, aromatic spice with a eucalyptus lift. Smells expensive.
Heart
- Juniper Berry Gin, basically. Piney, dry and bracing.
- Lavender Herbal, clean, slightly medicinal. Barbershop in one note.
- Mint Cold and tingly. Great in small doses, toothpaste in large ones.
Dry-down
- Tonka Bean Almond, hay and vanilla in one. Warm and slightly nutty.
- Vetiver Dry, earthy, smoky grass root. Smells like soil and citrus peel.
- Amber Warm, golden and resinous. Not a real material — a blend that glows.
Smells like this
- Lattafa Al Nashama Caprice
- Carolina Herrera Bad Boy Cobalt
- Yves Saint Laurent La Nuit de L'Homme
- Calvin Klein Defy
- Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche Pour Homme
- Giorgio Armani Armani Eau de Nuit
