Armani Eau de Nuit
Armani Eau de Nuit by Giorgio Armani is a masculine-leaning eau de toilette from 2013 in the designer price tier. It opens with bergamot, blackcurrant and juniper berry, moves into lavender, black pepper and patchouli and dries down to amber, vetiver and musk. Expect around 7 hours of wear, and it projects at a moderate level.
Notes, explained
Opening
- Bergamot Sharp citrus with a faint bitter edge. The opening of about half of all men's fragrances.
- Blackcurrant Tart, dark and slightly catty. Adds bite to florals.
- Juniper Berry Gin, basically. Piney, dry and bracing.
Heart
- Lavender Herbal, clean, slightly medicinal. Barbershop in one note.
- Black Pepper Dry and prickly. Gives a fragrance grip and a bit of bite.
- Patchouli Damp earth and dark chocolate. Either you love it or it's your least favourite note.
Dry-down
- Amber Warm, golden and resinous. Not a real material — a blend that glows.
- Vetiver Dry, earthy, smoky grass root. Smells like soil and citrus peel.
- Musk Warm, skin-like and slightly sweet. Makes a fragrance feel like you.
Smells like this

- Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche Pour Homme
