Misfit by Arquiste is an unisex eau de parfum in the niche price tier. It opens with bergamot, carrot seed, angelica and lavender, moves into rose, ambrette seed, akigalawood and styrax and dries down to patchouli, labdanum, tonka bean and tolu balsam. Expect around 8 hours of wear, and it projects at a moderate level.

Opening
- Bergamot Sharp citrus with a faint bitter edge. The opening of about half of all men's fragrances.
- Carrot Seed Earthy, rooty and oddly powdery. Often used to echo iris.
- Angelica Musky, herbal root. Earthy and a bit strange.
- Lavender Herbal, clean, slightly medicinal. Barbershop in one note.
Heart
- Rose Can be jammy, green, peppery or soapy depending on the type. Not one smell.
- Ambrette Seed The only natural musk. Pear-like, warm and slightly boozy.
- Akigalawood Patchouli with the earth taken out. Peppery, lightly spiced dry wood that makes a base feel expensive.
- Styrax Smoky, leathery balsam. Slightly rubbery and dark.
Dry-down
- Patchouli Damp earth and dark chocolate. Either you love it or it's your least favourite note.
- Labdanum Sticky, leathery resin. Dark honey and old books.
- Tonka Bean Almond, hay and vanilla in one. Warm and slightly nutty.
- Tolu Balsam Warm, sweet, slightly cinnamon resin. Rich and rounded.
