Journey Woman by Amouage is a feminine-leaning eau de parfum in the luxury price tier. It opens with apricot, green tea, osmanthus, nutmeg and cardamom, moves into jasmine, sambac jasmine, mimosa, honey and cedarwood and dries down to tobacco, saffron, vanilla, cypriol and musk. Expect around 10 hours of wear, and it projects strongly.

Apricot Warm, jammy stone fruit. Often hiding inside osmanthus.
Green Tea Dry, slightly bitter, calm. Quiet and very easy to wear.
Osmanthus Apricot-and-leather floral. Unusual, warm and very wearable.
Nutmeg Warm, woody and slightly sweet. Cosy without being gourmand.

Cedarwood Dry, pencil-shaving woodiness. Clean and structural.

Tobacco Sweet, dried and honeyed. Nothing like a cigarette.
Saffron Leathery, medicinal and slightly metallic. The signature of modern niche.
Vanilla Sweet, creamy and warm. The most comforting note in perfumery.
Cypriol Also called nagarmotha. Smoky, leathery, earthy — a vetiver relative.
