Interlude Black Iris
Interlude Black Iris by Amouage is an unisex extrait de parfum from 2020 in the luxury price tier. It opens with bergamot and pink pepper, moves into iris, incense and oregano and dries down to oud, labdanum, leather and patchouli. Expect around 10 hours of wear, and it projects very strongly.

Opening
- Bergamot Sharp citrus with a faint bitter edge. The opening of about half of all men's fragrances.
- Pink Pepper Fizzy, rosy and bright. Adds sparkle without heat.
Heart
- Iris Cool, powdery, slightly carroty and expensive. The luxury note.
- Incense Smoky, dry and meditative. Adds gravity to anything.
- Oregano Dry, warm and savoury. Rare in perfume and unmistakable when it appears.
Dry-down
- Oud Resinous, medicinal, barnyard-adjacent wood. The most expensive note in perfumery.
- Labdanum Sticky, leathery resin. Dark honey and old books.
- Leather Smoky, dry and a bit animal. Can be a new jacket or an old saddle.
- Patchouli Damp earth and dark chocolate. Either you love it or it's your least favourite note.
