9AM Dive by Afnan is an unisex eau de parfum from 2022 in the budget price tier. It opens with lemon, pink pepper, mint and blackcurrant, moves into apple, incense and cedarwood and dries down to patchouli, jasmine, ginger and sandalwood. Expect around 7 hours of wear, and it projects at a moderate level.

Opening

Lemon Clean, sour, instantly recognisable. Bright but burns off fast.
Pink Pepper Fizzy, rosy and bright. Adds sparkle without heat.
Mint Cold and tingly. Great in small doses, toothpaste in large ones.
Blackcurrant Tart, dark and slightly catty. Adds bite to florals.

Heart

Apple Crunchy and tart or soft and red, depending on the treatment.
Incense Smoky, dry and meditative. Adds gravity to anything.
Cedarwood Dry, pencil-shaving woodiness. Clean and structural.

Dry-down

Patchouli Damp earth and dark chocolate. Either you love it or it's your least favourite note.
Jasmine Heady, sweet and slightly animal underneath. Rarely subtle.
Ginger Warm, zesty and slightly soapy. Bridges citrus and spice.
Sandalwood Creamy, milky wood. Soft and almost edible.
