King Cobra

King Cobra by Zoologist is an unisex parfum from 2024 in the niche price tier. It opens with petitgrain, mandarin, fig leaf, pomelo and cannabis, moves into black tea, cumin and leather and dries down to incense, amber, oakmoss, patchouli and vetiver. Expect around 8 hours of wear, and it projects at a moderate level.

Opening

Petitgrain Bitter twigs and leaves of the orange tree. Dry and a little green.
Mandarin Soft, sweet, almost powdery citrus. Gentler than orange.
Fig Leaf Milky, green and slightly coconut-like. The smell of shade.
Pomelo Giant, mild grapefruit. Watery and refreshing.
Cannabis Green, resinous and skunky at the edges. Used for shock more than realism.

Heart

Black Tea Dry, tannic and smoky. More astringent than green tea.
Cumin Warm, spicy and unmistakably sweaty. Divides rooms.
Leather Smoky, dry and a bit animal. Can be a new jacket or an old saddle.

Dry-down

Incense Smoky, dry and meditative. Adds gravity to anything.
Amber Warm, golden and resinous. Not a real material — a blend that glows.
Oakmoss Damp forest floor. Bitter, green and the backbone of every chypre.
Patchouli Damp earth and dark chocolate. Either you love it or it's your least favourite note.
Vetiver Dry, earthy, smoky grass root. Smells like soil and citrus peel.
