Avanguardia by Xerjoff is an unisex eau de parfum in the luxury price tier. It opens with mandarin, davana and cherry, moves into violet, geranium and patchouli and dries down to tonka bean and styrax. Expect around 10 hours of wear, and it projects strongly.

Opening
- Mandarin Soft, sweet, almost powdery citrus. Gentler than orange.
- Davana Odd and gorgeous — apricot jam, rum and dried herbs at once.
- Cherry Sweet, syrupy and a bit almondy. Currently everywhere.
Heart
- Violet Powdery, sweet and a bit retro. Parma Violets in flower form.
- Geranium Rosy and minty at once. Reads masculine more often than not.
- Patchouli Damp earth and dark chocolate. Either you love it or it's your least favourite note.
Dry-down
- Tonka Bean Almond, hay and vanilla in one. Warm and slightly nutty.
- Styrax Smoky, leathery balsam. Slightly rubbery and dark.
