Lince
Lince by Tiziana Terenzi is an unisex extrait de parfum in the niche price tier. It opens with bergamot, sweet orange, grapefruit, star anise, absinthe and green tea, moves into jasmine, iris, fig, orange blossom and bulgarian rose and dries down to sandalwood, vanilla, ambergris, heliotrope and musk. Expect around 10 hours of wear, and it projects strongly.
Notes, explained
Opening
- Bergamot Sharp citrus with a faint bitter edge. The opening of about half of all men's fragrances.
- Sweet Orange Juicy and cheerful. The friendliest citrus there is.
- Grapefruit Bitter, slightly sweaty citrus. More grown-up than lemon.
- Star Anise Liquorice-like and cool. Sweet but not sugary.
- Absinthe Bitter wormwood and anise. Green, boozy and slightly wicked.
- Green Tea Dry, slightly bitter, calm. Quiet and very easy to wear.
Heart
- Jasmine Heady, sweet and slightly animal underneath. Rarely subtle.
- Iris Cool, powdery, slightly carroty and expensive. The luxury note.
- Fig Green, milky and jammy at once. One of the most interesting fruits in perfume.
- Orange Blossom Sweet, soapy and sunny. Neroli's warmer sibling.
- Bulgarian Rose Fresh, dewy and green. The 'real rose garden' version.
Dry-down
- Sandalwood Creamy, milky wood. Soft and almost edible.
- Vanilla Sweet, creamy and warm. The most comforting note in perfumery.
- Ambergris Salty, animal, sun-warmed skin. Marine and musky at once.
- Heliotrope Almond, vanilla and powder. Smells like marzipan and old-fashioned makeup.
- Musk Warm, skin-like and slightly sweet. Makes a fragrance feel like you.
