Abbrivio by Tiziana Terenzi is an unisex extrait de parfum in the niche price tier. It opens with sweet orange, blackcurrant and aromatic accord, moves into ambergris, coumarin, seaweed, tonka bean and sugar and dries down to patchouli, atlas cedar, oakwood, sandalwood, oakmoss and musk. Opening

Sweet Orange Juicy and cheerful. The friendliest citrus there is.
Blackcurrant Tart, dark and slightly catty. Adds bite to florals.
Aromatic Accord Herbal freshness in the lavender and rosemary mould, blended into one impression.

Heart

Ambergris Salty, animal, sun-warmed skin. Marine and musky at once.
Coumarin Hay, almond and vanilla in one molecule. The heart of every fougère.
Seaweed Salty, green and faintly funky. Real coastline rather than a bottle of 'fresh'.
Tonka Bean Almond, hay and vanilla in one. Warm and slightly nutty.
Sugar Plain sweetness. Usually there to round the edges off something else.

Dry-down

Patchouli Damp earth and dark chocolate. Either you love it or it's your least favourite note.
Atlas Cedar Smoother, resinous cedar. Warmer than the Virginia type.
Oakwood Dry, toasty barrel wood. Closer to a whisky cask than a forest.
Sandalwood Creamy, milky wood. Soft and almost edible.
Oakmoss Damp forest floor. Bitter, green and the backbone of every chypre.
Musk Warm, skin-like and slightly sweet. Makes a fragrance feel like you.
