Salt Air by Skylar is an unisex eau de parfum from 2019 in the designer price tier. It opens with bergamot, sea salt and seaweed, moves into cotton, water lily and cyclamen and dries down to driftwood, vanilla and musk. Expect around 5 hours of wear, and it projects softly.
Notes, explained
Opening
- Bergamot Sharp citrus with a faint bitter edge. The opening of about half of all men's fragrances.
- Sea Salt Mineral and dry. Skin after a day at the beach.
- Seaweed Salty, green and faintly funky. Real coastline rather than a bottle of 'fresh'.
Heart
- Cotton Soft, airy and clean. Like a shirt off the line.
- Water Lily Watery floral. Soft, cool and slightly green.
- Cyclamen Watery, green and airy. Used to make florals feel light.
Dry-down
- Driftwood Salt-bleached and dry. Wood that has been in the sea.
- Vanilla Sweet, creamy and warm. The most comforting note in perfumery.
- Musk Warm, skin-like and slightly sweet. Makes a fragrance feel like you.
