Black Afgano
Black Afgano by Nasomatto is an unisex extrait de parfum from 2009 in the niche price tier. It opens with cannabis and green tea, moves into oud, tobacco and coffee and dries down to labdanum, incense and patchouli. Expect around 12 hours of wear, and it projects very strongly.
Notes, explained
Opening
- Cannabis Green, resinous and skunky at the edges. Used for shock more than realism.
- Green Tea Dry, slightly bitter, calm. Quiet and very easy to wear.
Heart
- Oud Resinous, medicinal, barnyard-adjacent wood. The most expensive note in perfumery.
- Tobacco Sweet, dried and honeyed. Nothing like a cigarette.
- Coffee Roasted, bitter and dark. Adds edge to sweet fragrances.
Dry-down
- Labdanum Sticky, leathery resin. Dark honey and old books.
- Incense Smoky, dry and meditative. Adds gravity to anything.
- Patchouli Damp earth and dark chocolate. Either you love it or it's your least favourite note.
