Mìneir
Mìneir by Miller Harris is an unisex eau de parfum in the niche price tier. It opens with cut grass, sage, eucalyptus, cardamom and mint, moves into sea salt, cashmere wood, cedarwood and white flowers and dries down to oakmoss, myrrh, papyrus and patchouli. Expect around 6 hours of wear, and it projects softly.
Notes, explained
Opening
- Cut Grass Exactly what it says. Sharp, wet and nostalgic.
- Sage Dry, herbal and slightly bitter. Adds a grown-up, aromatic edge.
- Eucalyptus Sharp, camphorous, clears the head. Reads as clean more than green.
- Cardamom Cool, aromatic spice with a eucalyptus lift. Smells expensive.
- Mint Cold and tingly. Great in small doses, toothpaste in large ones.
Heart
- Sea Salt Mineral and dry. Skin after a day at the beach.
- Cashmere Wood Soft, fuzzy, slightly musky wood. Adds a blurred warmth.
- Cedarwood Dry, pencil-shaving woodiness. Clean and structural.
- White Flowers A blend of creamy white petals rather than one named flower.
Dry-down
- Oakmoss Damp forest floor. Bitter, green and the backbone of every chypre.
- Myrrh Bitter, smoky resin. Ancient-smelling and slightly cool.
- Papyrus Dry, smoky, papery wood. Vetiver's quieter cousin.
- Patchouli Damp earth and dark chocolate. Either you love it or it's your least favourite note.
