Inlé
Inlé by Memo Paris is an unisex eau de parfum in the niche price tier. It opens with cardamom, bergamot, tea and neroli, moves into osmanthus, fig and sambac jasmine and dries down to musk, cedarwood, violet and mate. Expect around 9 hours of wear, and it projects at a moderate level.
Notes, explained
Opening
- Cardamom Cool, aromatic spice with a eucalyptus lift. Smells expensive.
- Bergamot Sharp citrus with a faint bitter edge. The opening of about half of all men's fragrances.
- Tea Tea with no variety named. Dry, slightly tannic and calm.
- Neroli Distilled orange blossom. Green, soapy and elegant.
Heart
- Osmanthus Apricot-and-leather floral. Unusual, warm and very wearable.
- Fig Green, milky and jammy at once. One of the most interesting fruits in perfume.
- Sambac Jasmine Greener, more tea-like jasmine. Less indolic than grandiflorum.
Dry-down
- Musk Warm, skin-like and slightly sweet. Makes a fragrance feel like you.
- Cedarwood Dry, pencil-shaving woodiness. Clean and structural.
- Violet Powdery, sweet and a bit retro. Parma Violets in flower form.
- Mate Dry, smoky, bitter green tea. Toasted rather than fresh.
