Khamrah Waha
Khamrah Waha by Lattafa is an unisex eau de parfum in the budget price tier. It opens with bergamot, juniper berry, yuzu and ginger, moves into iris, cucumber, sage and sea salt and dries down to akigalawood, tonka bean, vanilla, musk and ambroxan. Expect around 8 hours of wear, and it projects strongly.
Notes, explained
Opening
- Bergamot Sharp citrus with a faint bitter edge. The opening of about half of all men's fragrances.
- Juniper Berry Gin, basically. Piney, dry and bracing.
- Yuzu Japanese citrus — like grapefruit and mandarin crossed. Crisp and clean.
- Ginger Warm, zesty and slightly soapy. Bridges citrus and spice.
Heart
- Iris Cool, powdery, slightly carroty and expensive. The luxury note.
- Cucumber Cool, watery and clean. Almost more a texture than a smell.
- Sage Dry, herbal and slightly bitter. Adds a grown-up, aromatic edge.
- Sea Salt Mineral and dry. Skin after a day at the beach.
Dry-down
- Akigalawood Patchouli with the earth taken out. Peppery, lightly spiced dry wood that makes a base feel expensive.
- Tonka Bean Almond, hay and vanilla in one. Warm and slightly nutty.
- Vanilla Sweet, creamy and warm. The most comforting note in perfumery.
- Musk Warm, skin-like and slightly sweet. Makes a fragrance feel like you.
- Ambroxan Clean, mineral, skin-like warmth. The engine behind most modern 'beast mode' scents.
