Antique
Antique by Lattafa is an unisex eau de parfum in the budget price tier. It opens with cardamom, fig, coconut and black tea, moves into iris, vetiver and jasmine and dries down to amber, sandalwood, tonka bean, caramel and musk. Expect around 8 hours of wear, and it projects strongly.
Notes, explained
Opening
- Cardamom Cool, aromatic spice with a eucalyptus lift. Smells expensive.
- Fig Green, milky and jammy at once. One of the most interesting fruits in perfume.
- Coconut Creamy and tropical. Suncream in the best possible way.
- Black Tea Dry, tannic and smoky. More astringent than green tea.
Heart
- Iris Cool, powdery, slightly carroty and expensive. The luxury note.
- Vetiver Dry, earthy, smoky grass root. Smells like soil and citrus peel.
- Jasmine Heady, sweet and slightly animal underneath. Rarely subtle.
Dry-down
- Amber Warm, golden and resinous. Not a real material — a blend that glows.
- Sandalwood Creamy, milky wood. Soft and almost edible.
- Tonka Bean Almond, hay and vanilla in one. Warm and slightly nutty.
- Caramel Burnt sugar. Rich, sticky and unapologetically sweet.
- Musk Warm, skin-like and slightly sweet. Makes a fragrance feel like you.
