Puritas by Electimuss is an unisex extrait de parfum in the luxury price tier. It opens with elemi, pink pepper, absinthe and saffron, moves into frankincense, rose, tuberose, geranium, ylang-ylang and jasmine and dries down to labdanum, patchouli, tonka bean, guaiac wood, vetiver and amber. Expect around 10 hours of wear, and it projects strongly.

Opening

Elemi Peppery resin with a lemon-pine lift. Bright and dry.
Pink Pepper Fizzy, rosy and bright. Adds sparkle without heat.
Absinthe Bitter wormwood and anise. Green, boozy and slightly wicked.
Saffron Leathery, medicinal and slightly metallic. The signature of modern niche.

Heart

Frankincense Bright, peppery, church-like resin. Lifts and cools a fragrance.
Rose Can be jammy, green, peppery or soapy depending on the type. Not one smell.
Tuberose Creamy, waxy and enormous. The loudest white flower.
Geranium Rosy and minty at once. Reads masculine more often than not.
Ylang-Ylang Banana-custard floral. Rich, tropical and slightly rubbery.
Jasmine Heady, sweet and slightly animal underneath. Rarely subtle.

Dry-down

Labdanum Sticky, leathery resin. Dark honey and old books.
Patchouli Damp earth and dark chocolate. Either you love it or it's your least favourite note.
Tonka Bean Almond, hay and vanilla in one. Warm and slightly nutty.
Guaiac Wood Smoky, tarry and slightly sweet. Like a bonfire and roses.
Vetiver Dry, earthy, smoky grass root. Smells like soil and citrus peel.
Amber Warm, golden and resinous. Not a real material — a blend that glows.
