Wind Flowers
Wind Flowers by Creed is a feminine-leaning eau de parfum from 2009 in the luxury price tier. It opens with jasmine, orange blossom and peach, moves into sambac jasmine, tuberose and rose de mai and dries down to iris, musk, sandalwood and praline. Expect around 6 hours of wear, and it projects softly.
Notes, explained
Opening
- Jasmine Heady, sweet and slightly animal underneath. Rarely subtle.
- Orange Blossom Sweet, soapy and sunny. Neroli's warmer sibling.
- Peach Fuzzy, warm and slightly creamy. Soft rather than sharp.
Heart
- Sambac Jasmine Greener, more tea-like jasmine. Less indolic than grandiflorum.
- Tuberose Creamy, waxy and enormous. The loudest white flower.
- Rose de Mai Softer, honeyed May rose. Expensive and unmistakably natural.
Dry-down
- Iris Cool, powdery, slightly carroty and expensive. The luxury note.
- Musk Warm, skin-like and slightly sweet. Makes a fragrance feel like you.
- Sandalwood Creamy, milky wood. Soft and almost edible.
- Praline Caramelised nuts. Sweet, toasty and very moreish.
