Le Lion
Le Lion by Chanel is an unisex eau de parfum from 2023 in the luxury price tier. It opens with bergamot and lemon, moves into labdanum and amber and dries down to patchouli, vanilla and sandalwood. Expect around 10 hours of wear, and it projects strongly.

Opening
- Bergamot Sharp citrus with a faint bitter edge. The opening of about half of all men's fragrances.
- Lemon Clean, sour, instantly recognisable. Bright but burns off fast.
Heart
- Labdanum Sticky, leathery resin. Dark honey and old books.
- Amber Warm, golden and resinous. Not a real material — a blend that glows.
Dry-down
- Patchouli Damp earth and dark chocolate. Either you love it or it's your least favourite note.
- Vanilla Sweet, creamy and warm. The most comforting note in perfumery.
- Sandalwood Creamy, milky wood. Soft and almost edible.
