Pour Homme
Pour Homme by Bvlgari is a masculine-leaning eau de toilette from 1995 in the designer price tier. It opens with bergamot, black tea and cardamom, moves into orange blossom, pink pepper and coriander and dries down to musk, vetiver and sandalwood. Expect around 5 hours of wear, and it projects softly.
Notes, explained
Opening
- Bergamot Sharp citrus with a faint bitter edge. The opening of about half of all men's fragrances.
- Black Tea Dry, tannic and smoky. More astringent than green tea.
- Cardamom Cool, aromatic spice with a eucalyptus lift. Smells expensive.
Heart
- Orange Blossom Sweet, soapy and sunny. Neroli's warmer sibling.
- Pink Pepper Fizzy, rosy and bright. Adds sparkle without heat.
- Coriander Warm seed spice, slightly citrusy. A quiet workhorse.
Dry-down
- Musk Warm, skin-like and slightly sweet. Makes a fragrance feel like you.
- Vetiver Dry, earthy, smoky grass root. Smells like soil and citrus peel.
- Sandalwood Creamy, milky wood. Soft and almost edible.
