• Osmanthus Apricot-and-leather floral. Unusual, warm and very wearable.
• Patchouli Damp earth and dark chocolate. Either you love it or it's your least favourite note.

Dry-down

• Marigold Bitter, green and herbal. Nothing like the flower looks.
• Ambroxan Clean, mineral, skin-like warmth. The engine behind most modern 'beast mode' scents.
• Oakmoss Damp forest floor. Bitter, green and the backbone of every chypre.
