Virēre by Aesop is an unisex eau de parfum in the premium price tier. It opens with bergamot, galbanum and petitgrain, moves into green tea, mastic and pink pepper and dries down to cedarwood, mate and hay. Expect around 6 hours of wear, and it projects softly.

Opening
- Bergamot Sharp citrus with a faint bitter edge. The opening of about half of all men's fragrances.
- Galbanum Intensely green resin. Smells like snapping a plant stem in half.
- Petitgrain Bitter twigs and leaves of the orange tree. Dry and a little green.
Heart
- Green Tea Dry, slightly bitter, calm. Quiet and very easy to wear.
- Mastic Resinous pine-and-lemon. The chew of Greek gum.
- Pink Pepper Fizzy, rosy and bright. Adds sparkle without heat.
Dry-down
- Cedarwood Dry, pencil-shaving woodiness. Clean and structural.
- Mate Dry, smoky, bitter green tea. Toasted rather than fresh.
- Hay Sun-dried grass and tonka. Warm, rustic and comforting.
