Colonia Club
Colonia Club by Acqua di Parma is an unisex eau de cologne from 2016 in the premium price tier. It opens with bergamot, mint and lemon, moves into lavender, geranium and clary sage and dries down to white musk and ambroxan. Expect around 4 hours of wear, and it projects softly.
Notes, explained
Opening
- Bergamot Sharp citrus with a faint bitter edge. The opening of about half of all men's fragrances.
- Mint Cold and tingly. Great in small doses, toothpaste in large ones.
- Lemon Clean, sour, instantly recognisable. Bright but burns off fast.
Heart
- Lavender Herbal, clean, slightly medicinal. Barbershop in one note.
- Geranium Rosy and minty at once. Reads masculine more often than not.
- Clary Sage Softer, sweeter sage with an ambery undertone. Warm and herbal.
Dry-down
- White Musk Clean, soft, laundry-like. The 'smells like nothing but better' note.
- Ambroxan Clean, mineral, skin-like warmth. The engine behind most modern 'beast mode' scents.
Smells like this
- Montblanc Explorer Ultra Blue
- Escentric Molecules Molecule 02
- Prada Luna Rossa Sport
- Parfums de Marly Sedley
- Xerjoff Nio
- Dior Sauvage Eau Forte
