Blu Mediterraneo Arancia di Capri
Blu Mediterraneo Arancia di Capri by Acqua di Parma is an unisex eau de toilette from 2000 in the premium price tier. It opens with mandarin, lemon and sweet orange, moves into cardamom, petitgrain and orange blossom and dries down to caramel, musk and amber. Expect around 4 hours of wear, and it projects softly.
Notes, explained
Opening
- Mandarin Soft, sweet, almost powdery citrus. Gentler than orange.
- Lemon Clean, sour, instantly recognisable. Bright but burns off fast.
- Sweet Orange Juicy and cheerful. The friendliest citrus there is.
Heart
- Cardamom Cool, aromatic spice with a eucalyptus lift. Smells expensive.
- Petitgrain Bitter twigs and leaves of the orange tree. Dry and a little green.
- Orange Blossom Sweet, soapy and sunny. Neroli's warmer sibling.
Dry-down
- Caramel Burnt sugar. Rich, sticky and unapologetically sweet.
- Musk Warm, skin-like and slightly sweet. Makes a fragrance feel like you.
- Amber Warm, golden and resinous. Not a real material — a blend that glows.
